This question comes from one of our visitors:
“Does the Mormon Church Believe Jesus Rose from the Dead?”
The answer to this question is “Yes!” The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) believes in Jesus Christ and that He rose from the dead. Other people may have other terms for this, but we refer to it as the resurrection. Resurrection is when the body and the spirit will be reunited in perfect form.
A little over 10 years ago the leaders of the Mormon Church released an official statement of belief about Jesus Christ. In part, it says:
“We solemnly testify that His life, which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem nor concluded on Calvary. He was the Firstborn of the Father, the Only Begotten Son in the flesh, the Redeemer of the world. He rose from the grave to “become the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20).”
