Mormon General Conference

Every six months the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hold a General Conference for the church. It is held in Salt Lake City, Utah and is broadcast throughout the world in many languages. Conference is held each April and October.

Mormons believe that prophets were a part of God’s church in ancient times and that prophets are a part of His church today. General Conference is a chance for Mormons (and anyone who wants to listen) to hear the words of the prophets, the 12 apostles, and other church leaders.

I enjoy listening to the Mormon General Conference each year because it gives me a chance to reflect upon my life and to think of the things that I’m doing good and those things which I can improve on. I know that God loves His children and General Conference is one of the ways He shows that love.
