Jesus Christ’s Atonement Can Reclaim Lost Souls

Here is a recent video produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which portrays a great analogy about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The Atonement is a word used to describe the sufferings, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. Because of what He did for us, each of us can be forgiven of our sins and find peace and happiness in our lives. “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

He Is Risen! – A Video From the Mormon Church For the Easter Season

This morning we went to an Easter egg hunt at the local park. It was so much fun seeing all the kids run around and pick up their loot. It was a beautiful Spring morning. I hope you’ve enjoyed this Easter season and have a chance to be with your loved ones as well.

But may we remember the true meaning of this holiday: Jesus Christ. During Easter we remember Christ’s death for all of us; but most importantly, we remember that He lives! On the third day after His crucifixion Jesus Christ was resurrected. I know Jesus Christ lives. I know He loves us. May you find that hope and joy this Easter holiday. Visit mormon.org/easter to learn more.

Here is a video from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which is a depiction of the last few hours of the Savior’s life, his crucifixion and resurrection.

Mormon First Presidency Christmas Devotional 2011

Christmas at Temple SquareChristmas can be a fun time of the year. And while I don’t think there isn’t anything inherently wrong with the more “commercial” side of Christmas, I think it’s important that we don’t let that overshadow the true meaning of the season: Jesus Christ.

To help with keeping our focus on the Savior, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds a meeting each year with music and talks about Jesus, the gospel and the Christmas season.

You can read the talks and watch the videos of the speakers at www.LDS.org.

Mormons and Eternal Marriage – Expressions of Love Video

One of the doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that is dearest to me is that of eternal marriage and eternal families. Mormons believe that marriage does not have to end at “…death to do yo part.” Rather, through the power of God (the priesthood), man and woman can be married for this life, and for eternity, in sacred temples. This means that family relationships can continue beyond the grave. I know that God wouldn’t want it any other way.

Below is a video produced by the Mormon Church that sort of interviews some Mormon couples talking about their eternal marriages and their expressions of love. Enjoy.

The Missing Piece – Mormon Messages

This is the most recent YouTube video from MormonMessages. It’s an inspiring story about an athlete that was looking for that missing piece in his life—Jesus.

There are people all throughout the world that feel like there’s just something missing in there life. When people turn to their Savior, Jesus Christ, the void seems to disappear. Mormons believe in Christ. This man found joy and happiness by turning to Jesus.
