Mormons and Eternal Marriage – Expressions of Love Video

One of the doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that is dearest to me is that of eternal marriage and eternal families. Mormons believe that marriage does not have to end at “…death to do yo part.” Rather, through the power of God (the priesthood), man and woman can be married for this life, and for eternity, in sacred temples. This means that family relationships can continue beyond the grave. I know that God wouldn’t want it any other way.

Below is a video produced by the Mormon Church that sort of interviews some Mormon couples talking about their eternal marriages and their expressions of love. Enjoy.

Focus on Families at Church

lds mormon chapelToday at church there was a big focus on the importance of families and good parenting. That’s one of the things I really appreciate about the Mormon Church, is their emphasis on the family. I liked the topics discussed in church today because it gave me a chance to reflect.

Church services are good at making you take a step back and think, to re-evaluate how things are going in your life.

Mormons believe the Sabbath day (Sunday) is a sacred day set a part from the rest of the week. We go to church, try not to go to work, and avoid activities like sporting events or shopping. It is a day of rest from the cares of the world. I hope you had a good Sunday.
